The problem
A historic ballroom needed a site that feels like walking into the room, that the venue can edit itself, and that shows which pages actually lead to inquiries.
Key decisions
- 01
Every word on the site is editable in an embedded Payload CMS, set up from the site’s message file. If the database is ever unavailable, the site serves the committed copy, so it never goes blank.
- 02
Clicks on any call to action or link to the Visit page are recorded as lead events, so the venue can see which pages and buttons bring in inquiries.
- 03
Scroll and heading animations run on GSAP with Lenis smooth scrolling, tuned to stay quiet for people who prefer reduced motion.
Outcome
Built solo in October 2026 for Skyline & Co., the team behind Longview Estate.
